The guinea pig of my brain monster.

So I’ve been using tumblr as more of a collection of images that I scavenge than a legitimate personal blog. No harm in that, I guess. But now I have Pintrest going for my random image kitsch collection and I thought I would refine my ‘internet presence’. Some of my pre-new year’s resolutions are to ‘put myself out there’ and ‘write more’. Therefore, you dear reader, are to be the guinea pig of my brain monster.

I need to do more than just sit at the computer and work and never talk about what I’m doing. Finally I understand that not everyone is going to have a superstar-genius-person-designer-blog from the get go. I am definitely not a superstar nor a genius, but two outta four ain’t bad, kids.

So what am I up to, you ask?  Or maybe you didn’t ask, but I’ll tell you.

Right now one of my bigger projects is coding my web design portfolio from scratch in Wordpress.  I can’t say enough about how much I’ve learned from just jumping in and cranking everything out myself. Less than two years ago I was sitting in my Senior Studio class in design school wondering what the first step to creating a website actually was and now I am learning how to craft entire sites by myself. So, Future Emily (1) Past Emily (0).

Also, I use oxford commas. If that annoys you, then go stick a pencil up your nose.
